About the Holiday Festival:

The Vermont Holiday Festival returns to Killington on Friday and Saturday December 13th and 14th with its glittering Festival of Trees, the magic of Santa’s Workshop, and a bustling schedule of activities and musical performances. The Grand Ballroom at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel will be transformed into a winter wonderland as 100 uniquely decorated holiday trees fill the venue with the sights and scents of the season. Now in its 9th year, the annual event is produced by the Killington Chamber of Commerce.

The centerpiece of the Vermont Holiday Festival is the Festival of Trees, featuring a unique collection of one-of-a kind Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and raffled off at the conclusion of the festival. Festival attendees may purchase raffle tickets throughout the weekend for a chance to win their favorite tree. Raffle tickets are sold at the cost of $10 for 25 tickets or $5 for 10 tickets. Winners are drawn during the fun-filled Festival Finale Saturday night at 8pm.

Children are invited to attend Santa’s Workshop, which will be hosted at multiple times daily. Each workshop is one-hour long and includes a handcrafted toy, a Christmas story reading and a visit from Santa and his elves. Admission to Santa's Workshop is $10 per child. To register your child for a specific time, call the chamber at 802-773-4181 or sign up at the festival.

The Jack Frost Market Place is back with brand new vendors. Aprils Maple, Crowley Cheese, One of a Kind Jewelry, Snowflake Cupcakes and Plymouth Cheese, to name a few.

Also for "kids of all ages," enjoy a wonderful Vermont tradition. Complimentary horse drawn sleigh rides will provide an exciting experience throughout the festival.

Admission to the Vermont Holiday Festival is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children ages 5 and under. The admission fee is waived for Santa's Workshops participants. The Festival opens Friday at 4:30p.m. and Saturday at 12p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s Festival will benefit the Vermont Food Bank. The Vermont Chamber of Commerce named the 2011 Vermont Holiday Festival a favorite Pick for Kids.
