How to get a silky water effect.

I recently gave a talk about the techniques used for capturing a silky running water effect.       If you ever wanted to know how it is done, check out my blog, srwdesignotes, for my presentation outlining techniques to achieve this in your next photo outing. http://srwdesignotes.blogspot.com/2014/11/photographing-falling-water.html

Edie Johnstone: New Work
This painting is 8” x 8” x 2” square—I have painted the 2” sides as well as the 8” x 8” surface.  The snow scene is titled “Winter”.

These are the ornaments of wood that my son cuts from tree branches, then I dry and sand them, drill a hole at the top for a string to hang them, and then paint them.   I sell them at Cabin Fever Gifts, Truly Unique, The Original General Store (Pittsfield) and the Pitt Stop (Pittsfield).

Alice Sciore: Recent Commission
My recently completed commission of a home in N.H., from photo client submitted.
The building and architecture were of course the star of the star of the show, but I had a great time with the landscape and surely the shadows.
