Killington Arts Guild “Meet the Artist Series”:
Vermont Painter Peter Gould
April 17, 2014 6:00-8:00 PM
"Full Moon Don Quixote" by Peter Gould
The Birch Ridge Inn and the Killington Arts Guild are hosting an evening with Vermont Artist Peter Gould on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Peter has been painting professionally for many years and his work is hanging in several business establishments here on the mountain.

Peter’s distinctive paintings are especially well known for being presented on barn boards and doors that Peter gathers from around Vermont. Come and view some of Peter’s works that sparkle with his distinctive shooting star.

Peter will share his penchant for and devotion to representing ideas and places through his artistic perspective and perhaps renew and/or energize attendees’ own artistic proclivities.

The public is invited to attend this demonstration in the Great Room of the Birch Ridge Inn located up on the hill at

the corner of Butler Road and the Killington Road. From
6:00 to 8:00 PM, coffee and hors d’oeuvres will be available as well as a cash bar. Following the demonstration, persons wishing to join us for dinner in the Inn’s restaurant can make reservations by calling the Birch Ridge Inn at 422-4293. Persons wishing further information regarding the presentation may call Sally Curtis at 422-3852.

Peter Huntoon’s WATERCOLOR Workshop
June 7 & 8, 2014
Saturday & Sunday 9:00-4:00

"Cascade" by Peter Huntoon
All artists, those just beginning and those who have been painting for years, can enjoy the experience of two days with Peter and his unique style of bringing water and paint to paper. Peter is a local artist well-known for his watercolor paintings of many animals, places, and towns around Vermont. Peter’s passion for his craft radiates in a group setting and participants benefit from this interplay and exposure.
The group will participate in some guided art exercises exploring the elements and principles of Chroma, its value, hue, and intensity, and principles of design – he might be heard to say ‘use a mama, papa, and a baby’. Peter will conduct several interactive demonstrations and probably paint one full size picture. Sign up to attend if you are looking for some inspiring and unique instruction.

The workshop will be held in the Guild’s Gallery upstairs at Cabin Fever Gifts, 2363 Route 4 in Killington.
Fee for members $150.00; for non-members $170.
